Perform process engineering on projects, proposals, and studies under the general supervision of lead engineers. Display good engineering judgment and demonstrate the ability to schedule and estimate the work effort.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with lab/pilot testing. This includes pilot test design, engineering support, and troubleshooting.Development of simulations of chemical process systems for tests and projects.PFD development with material and energy balancesP&ID development.Equipment design and specification of process vessels, heat exchangers, decanters, pumps, compressors and mass transfer equipment including fractionation towers/internals.Specification and selection of instrumentation and controlsPreparation of utility balances, and hydraulic calculations / line-sizing.Definition of controls logic and automated sequencing.Preparation of operating manuals.Project support including assistance with field inspectionsParticipate in start-ups and client operator training.Troubleshooting and evaluation of existing systemsPerforms other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.Qualification Requirements:BS or MS degree in Chemical engineering as well as 3 to 10 years of related work experience.Experience in a plant environment or pilot testing facility.Process simulation modeling skills required.
