Job DetailsDescriptionThe Cook is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, using Woodcrest established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Lead Cook and/or Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. Under limited supervision, prepares and serves meals maintaining high standards of sanitation, housekeeping, and safety. Operates and inspects food service equipment on a daily basis. Is responsible for all related work areas within the realm of the Food and Nutritional Services Department.Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!Starting pay: $15.73/hr (more depending on experience)Eligible for a $1,250 sign-on bonusRequirements36 hours per week - First Shift5:00 am - 7:30 pmEvery Other Weekend And Holiday RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent (unless you are an HS Student)Serv-Safe certification preferredWorks around areas and equipment of abnormal temperatures. Requires extensive standing. Requires full range of body motion including but not limited to, standing, walking, sitting, hand and finger dexterity, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, etc. Some heavy lifting. This job requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted.
