Investment in our employees makes a difference in helping us reach our goals with opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties\n\nFocus on Building Automation Systems Sales in the New York Construction and Service Market\nInterpret mechanical engineering document\nObserve field conditions to develop quotes/bills of material as it relates to construction and service projects daily\nSelf-starter but also able to work in a highly collaborative team environment\nCandidates should have the ability to estimate their own projects as well as problem solve issues that arise from projects sold\nInterpersonal communication skills and ability to speak to customers, engineers, and employees are a must\nCandidates must have the ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines to meet customer needs\nEstablish, develop, and maintain productive relationships with engineers, mechanical contractors, general contractors, developers and building owners\nInterpret engineering documents, plans, specifications, and field conditions to develop scopes of work and project estimates\nWork with installation and project management teams to review quotes and budgets for projects and execute project kickoffs\nUse their knowledge to find solutions for customers’ needs even if an off the shelf solution does not exist\nCommunicate promptly with customers, contractors, and fellow employees\nUnderstand the operation of modern DDC and legacy pneumatic control systems\nSolve customer issues and address concerns to preserve customer relationships\nAttend walkthroughs and onsite meetings as required to assess site conditions and develop scopes of work\nProvide customer presentations on the latest technologies and solutions from Control Technologies, Inc (CTI)\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering Field or equivalent\nMechanical or 2-4 years of relevant industry experience\nFamiliarity with cost estimating and CRM tools\nExperience with relevant manufacturers: Distech Controls, Trane, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Niagara, Schneider, Alerton, ALC etc\nHVAC and/or Industrial system knowledge preferred\nCandidate should understand the operation of hot water/chilled water systems, boilers, chillers, air-handling units, constant/variable volume systems, and have knowledge of other HVAC equipment and their use\nAbility to work alone and in a team environment\nAbility to prioritize and manage their workload\nA positive attitude and level-headed approach to their work\nOSHA 30 preferred but not required\nExcellent interpersonal skills required with strong communication and organization skills\nA valid driver’s license and clean driving record\nSalary: based on experience $80K+ Commission\n\nJob Details\nFull-time\n\nWhy You Should Apply\nFor over 30 years, Control Technologies, Inc. has built its success as an industry leader in building automation solutions and services.
