Commissioning Engineer - Data Center

Renewyx have partnered with a leading mission-critical infrastructure contractor to place a Commissioning Engineer in Northern Virginia — the data center capital of the world. Two to five years in? This is the contract that accelerates your career. You will be working hands-on across live hyperscale builds, gaining exposure to complex MEP and critical power systems at a scale most engineers never see. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲: You will execute commissioning test procedures across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems, support Level 1 through Level 4 testing, document findings, and track deficiency resolution through to sign-off. You will work alongside senior commissioning engineers and PMs on active data center builds throughout the NoVA corridor. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: • 2 to 5 years of commissioning experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities • Hands-on knowledge of MEP systems — critical power, cooling, and controls • Experience executing and documenting commissioning test procedures • CxA certification (BCxA, AABC, or equivalent) preferred or in progress • Strong attention to detail and solid technical writing skills • Comfortable working on site in a fast-paced construction environment 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿: • $80 to $115 per hour (contract / 1099) • Active contract on a live hyperscale program • Northern Virginia — site-based • Per diem and travel support where applicable • Real exposure to large-scale, complex commissioning scopes that build your CV fast NoVA moves fast.
