This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with approximately five years of industry experience who is ready to transition into project management. Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.\nWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:\nInitiate and plan projects using disciplined project management practices (scope confirmation, WBS, schedule, risk planning, onboarding).\nManage execution and controls: track progress, issues, changes, and dependencies; maintain project records in the project workspace for traceability.\nCoordinate communications and reporting cadence; maintain deadline control for regulatory and client reporting obligations.\nManage vendors and subcontractors under defined procedures; ensure work plans and outputs follow required verification pathways.\nSupport digital field data collection and standardized reporting workflows; contribute to dashboards and evidence packs used for program and project visibility.\nPrepare deliverables and ensure they are ready for check/review with project director and/or subject matter expert approval prior to external use.\nEscalate risks and deviations early using leading indicators and agreed thresholds to support ‘no surprises’ delivery.\nClose out projects with complete documentation, lessons learned, and handoff as required\nWhat you will bring to the team:\nDemonstrated experience in leading environmental field data collection, soil & groundwater investigations, and technical report preparation programs.\nAbility to manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk with a structured approach.\nStrong coordination skills across field/office resources, and multi-disciplinary technical teams.\nClear written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing and managing recurring reporting deliverables.\nOwnership and follow-through on commitments\nStrong attention to detail\nEffective communication with technical and non-technical audiences\nCollaborative relationships with clients and team members.\nLeadership potential and a desire to grow into larger project management responsibilities\nA balance of technical problem-solving with business and project objectives.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, Geotechnical, Environmental, or Mining Engineering, or related field\nApproximately 5+ years of technical experience in environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients.\nProject management experience is required beyond day-to-day task management (e.g., defining project scope/objectives, establishing and monitoring budgets, allocating resources, anticipating/mitigating risks).\nUnderstanding of project management principles and methodologies required\nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines required.\nStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.\nPrior experience coordinating projects, task teams, and technical work packages required\nExposure to project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, or client management preferred\nExposure to project management systems such as project accounting software (e.g., BST, Deltek, etc.), MS Project, and/or Primavera P6 preferred,\nExperience in remediation and reclamation of legacy mine sites preferred.\nCERCLA, RCRA, and/or state-led remediation program experience a plus.\nOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification desired\nMSHA 24-hour New Miner training desired, but not required\nAbility and willingness to travel to client meetings is required\nPE a plus, but not required\nAs a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
