(ECI) is currently seeking a Front-end Engineer/Developer. The Edaptive Front-end Engineer ensures that ECI Frameworks and products meet technical requirements while providing a user-friendly experience. This position acts as a bridge between designers (UI/UX) and back-end programmers.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDrive development and internal standards on all technical aspects of front-end delivery\nExpert in front-end technologies (html/css/javascript)\nExpert in front-end management and delivery tools (gulp/babel/webpack/etc.)\nHeavy focus on performance in large-scale web applications\nStays abreast of new technologies. Proposes and implements new processes and techniques. Proposes inclusion of new technology into existing products and new solutions.\nFocus on building modular layouts, reusable code and libraries for future use\nArchitecture and setup of client-side unit tests\nEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs\nHelp set technical standards and best practices for the front-end team\nQualitative Requirements\nIn-depth knowledge web front-end engineering best practices and techniques.\nAdept at using web services (APIs) to build front-end applications\nExpert-level knowledge in front-end technologies html, css\nExperience with a variety of HTML frameworks (eg: bootstrap)\nExpert-level knowledge of css preprocessors (LESS/SCSS/SASS)\nExpert-level knowledge and experience with javascript and multiple javascript frameworks & libraries (Angular/jQuery/React/Vue/etc)\nExperience with ES6+\nExperience with Typescript\nProven experience in breaking large-scale web applications into modular parts to fine-tune the performance of the application for speed and scalability\nProficient understanding of javascript pre-processing and packaging frameworks such as babel and webpack\nAdvanced knowledge of javascript unit testing (Jest, Mocha/Chai, etc)\nExperience in software design patterns and best practices as they relate to front end\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining focus on core responsibility.\nExcitement and eagerness to learn new technology.\nDesire to work in an Agile software development environment.\nAbility to obtain a security clearance.\nEducational and Experience Requirements\n5+ years’ experience with front-end web technologies\nBachelor degree or higher in Computer Science. 6 years of relevant experience or training can be substituted for the degree requirement.\nEnhancing Qualifications\nExperience with Git\nExperience with Node.js\nExperience using cloud services to enhance the delivery of application resources\nExperience with Angular\nExperience with automated web UI testing (selenium, puppeteer, etc.)\nAdvanced experience with TypeScript\nExperience using GraphQL\nAdvanced experience in DevOps and using automation/measurement to streamline deployments and development activities.\nSubmission Instructions\n\n(Non-complying submissions will not be considered)\n\nReference Front-end Engineer – Web Applications in all correspondence\nEligibility for a Security Clearance is required\nResumes must be 3 pages or less and provide description of how qualifying technologies were used.
