DescriptionNational Management Solutions, (NMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of DGCI Corporation, (DGCI), seeks a Government Relations Manager with experience in leading and coordinating legislative priorities and initiatives to develop and lead the company's legislative priorities, manage PAC, and liaise with key government stakeholders.This full-time position reports directly to the CFO and is hybrid remote, requiring working in the Tysons Corner office 2-3 days per week and as needed for meetings. Up to 10% travel may be required. We provide exceptional benefits including medical, dental and vision plans, 401k, gym and on-site parking.The Position Responsibilities Are As FollowsAssist in developing company legislative prioritiesIdentify and stay current on existing and proposed legislation that could impact the organization Create strategies to strengthen relationships with lobbyists, committee staff, member offices, and other industry representatives to advance the organization's goals Regularly engage industry trade associations, groups, and other stakeholders to gain support and build common interests Develop and lead Corporate PAC activities Keep management and elected officials informed about the organization's priorities and relevant laws and regulations Provide constant feedback to existing company programs, execution priorities, and capture strategiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, political science or related disciplineMinimum 5-7 years experience on Capitol Hill, Executive Brand and/or with US defense acquisition in the DoD energy and logistics sectors and the oil and gas and/or critical minerals industryIn-depth knowledge of legislative authorization, appropriations processes, and committee structuresStrong understanding of Pentagon program development and DoD Services acquisition processes.Strong network and relationships with industry trade associations and other stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPointMust reside in the DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia metro areaExcellent verbal and written communications with an ability to efficiently express complex concepts clearlyDemonstrated ability to work independently and develop strategic recommendationsDetail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities successfullyOccasional travel to attend face-to-face meetings locally via car or public transportation is requiredRequires evidence of eligibility to work in the United StatesDGCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
