This position is responsible for leading the company's Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting functions while managing a team of accounting professionals supporting both domestic and global manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed assets, lease accounting, ERP systems, and manufacturing accounting, along with proven leadership experience.What You'll DoAs the Fixed Asset Manager, you will be responsible for:Managing the company's Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting portfolios across domestic and international manufacturing locations. Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of up to four accounting professionals, including assigning workloads, coaching, and performance management. Overseeing the full fixed asset lifecycle, including asset capitalization, transfers, disposals, retirements, impairments, depreciation, and reconciliations. Managing Construction-in-Progress (CIP) accounting and ensuring timely capitalization of completed projects. Administering lease accounting activities, including additions, modifications, terminations, and ongoing compliance with applicable accounting standards. Preparing and reviewing monthly fixed asset and lease reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules. Partnering with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, and Plant Leadership to ensure accurate capitalization of projects and equipment. Supporting both U.S. and global manufacturing operations, ensuring consistency in accounting processes and compliance across multiple locations. Maintaining accurate fixed asset records and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to fixed assets and leases. Assisting with internal and external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and system efficiencies. Developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to fixed asset and lease accounting. Preparing financial reporting and analysis related to capital expenditures, depreciation expense, and lease obligations. Collaborating with Finance leadership on strategic initiatives and capital investment planning. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in fixed asset accounting within a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting both domestic and global manufacturing operations is required. Demonstrated experience managing the complete Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting portfolios. Previous leadership experience managing a team of up to four accounting professionals. Strong understanding of:Fixed asset accounting Construction-in-Progress (CIP) Depreciation methodologies Capital project accounting Lease accounting Experience using SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and prepare financial reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across multiple business functions.
