This position plays a critical role in ensuring program quality, compliance, student engagement, and staff development.\nProgram schedules may include after-school hours, non-instructional days (e.g., summer, winter, and spring breaks), and required meetings or trainings.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSite Operations & Program Oversight\nOversee successful day-to-day site operations for assigned Middle Tree programs.\nEnsure all interactions operate ethically and consistently within Middle Tree’s mission and core agreements.\nEnsure the effective implementation of tutoring, homework assistance, enrichment activities, and student engagement strategies.\nSupervise programming serving up to 140+ students at a designated school site.\nStep into direct service roles as needed to maintain program continuity and quality.\nStaff Supervision & Development\nProvide direct supervision, coaching, and mentorship to site-level staff and tutors.\nConduct regular check-ins, offer constructive feedback, and reinforce training and behavior expectations.\nModel classroom management strategies and effective student engagement techniques in real-time.\nParticipate in performance management of site staff.\nCollaborate with the Program Manager to establish performance goals and staff development plans.\nStudent Safety & Positive Environment\nMaintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for students and staff.\nRespond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies.\nEnsure adherence to safety procedures during classroom and outdoor activities.\nPromote positive behavior, student engagement, and a strong learning culture beyond regular school hours.\nData, Reporting & Compliance\nTrack and maintain accurate student attendance and enrollment records (as needed).\nMaintain detailed site logs documenting activities, attendance, staff notes, and notable events.\nPrepare incident reports and ensure timely documentation.\nEnsure compliance with Middle Tree policies and district guidelines.\nMonitor program metrics and use data to identify areas for improvement.\nEnsure timely and accurate submission of staff timecards.\nCommunication & Collaboration\nServe as the primary on-site contact for school administrators, teachers, district partners, and parents.\nMaintain regular communication with the school principal and faculty to align program goals and address student needs.\nCollaborate with the Program Manager, other Site Leads, Trainers, and other Middle Tree staff to share best practices and resources.\nFoster positive relationships that strengthen the overall support system for students.\nTraining & Professional Development\nConduct staff training sessions as needed to strengthen instructional practices, classroom management, and cultural competence.\nAttend bi-weekly Site Lead meetings and required trainings.\nParticipate in ongoing professional development to support continuous improvement.\nAdditional Duties\nFloat between classrooms as needed.\nFulfill additional responsibilities as assigned to support program success.\nDuties and responsibilities may evolve based on organizational or site needs.\nQualifications and Requirements\nAssociate’s degree or completion of 48 college credits required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).\nMust pass the paraprofessional test (if applicable per district requirements).\nMinimum 2 years of experience working with children in an educational or structured setting.\nPrior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.\nPrevious classroom experience required.\nMust meet minimum qualifications set by the partner school district.\nFully available to work required program hours (Monday–Friday, typically 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.).\nAbility to attend required meetings and trainings.\nCPR/First Aid certification (or ability to maintain within 48 hours of hire).\nMandated Reporter certification (or ability to maintain within 48 hours of hire).\nSatisfactory TB test.\nDOJ and FBI background clearance (within 48 hours of hire).\nPreferred Qualifications\nBilingual/Bicultural (Spanish) preferred.\nExperience in expanded learning, after-school, or tutoring programs.\nStrong record of reliability, professionalism, and positive performance.\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong leadership and team-building abilities.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with students, families, school staff, and colleagues.\nAbility to follow oral and written instructions and
