This role bridges process engineering, mechanical systems, automation integration, and field execution, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to performance expectations.\r\nYou will work with our engineering, automation, fabrication, and installation teams, and collaborate closely with clients to deliver complete solutions.\r\nWHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT\r\nYou will gain hands-on experience with:\r\nTurnkey industrial process systems\r\nMechanical + automation integration\r\nClient-facing leadership\r\nProject ownership typically achieved within 12–18 months.\r\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nLead on-site project execution during installation and commissioning phases\r\nAct as primary technical point of contact between field crews, engineering, and clients\r\nSupervise mechanical installation, piping systems, and equipment integration\r\nCoordinate automation start-up activities with controls teams\r\nResolve real-time technical issues during installation and system start-up\r\nVerify system performance against process and design specifications\r\nEnsure adherence to project schedule, safety, and quality standards on site\r\nManage field changes, site constraints, and technical adjustments\r\nSupport vendor coordination and equipment delivery during installation\r\nParticipate in system testing, validation, and final handover\r\nQUALIFICATIONS\r\nEducation & Experience\r\n5+ years experience in process design, field installation, performance testing, project management, commissioning or plant operations, preferably in the Food and Beverage or the Chemical Processingindustries\r\nBachelor's degree in engineering is considered an asset\r\nTechnical\r\nP&ID and layout proficiency\r\nFamiliarity with industrial automation environments\r\nKnowledge of fabrication & commissioning environment\r\nTools\r\nAutoCAD\r\nMicrosoft Office\r\nDigital project systems (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley an asset)\r\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\r\nHybrid West Coast role with travel concentrated during installation and commissioning phases.\r\nWHAT WE OFFER\r\nTechnical leadership responsibility early in career\r\nA stimulating multidisciplinary environment\r\nStrong project variety and learning opportunities\r\nGroup insurance\r\n401K\r\nYearly performance bonus\r\nHybrid work environment\r\nWhile the main office is in Petaluma, we welcome candidates from the West Coast to apply since this is an hybrid position.
