{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"4eff7fc5d4d8e1e5bb9def09","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/4eff7fc5d4d8e1e5bb9def09","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/4eff7fc5d4d8e1e5bb9def09","title":"Materials Handler","description":"Job TitleJob Description\r\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities\r\nHandles, distributes, and transfers material and equipment to maintain efficient material flow through the factory.\r\nPerforms manual and routine administrative duties in receiving, packing, shipping, and warehousing.\r\nPhysically transfers material utilizing handling equipment including forklifts, dollies, pallet handlers, and hand trucks.\r\nServes as an active member of the team and meets requirements to ensure efficient operation of the shipping/receiving area.\r\nEducation & Experience\r\nHigh school diploma is required.\r\nAbility to read and interpret specifications, maintain records, and use material measurement equipment.\r\nTwo to three years of experience in a related shipping, receiving, stockroom, or warehouse environment.\r\nExperience handling customs issues associated with international shipments is a plus.\r\nExperience packaging material shipments and preparing appropriate paperwork is a plus.\r\nSkills\r\nSecondary education is a plus.\r\nMust be customer-service oriented.\r\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with employees at all levels.\r\nAbility to work independently and under limited supervision.\r\nAbility to read, understand, and speak English.\r\nAbility to recognize and follow process specifications and safety rules.\r\nStrong attention to detail and product quality.\r\nReliable attendance and willingness to work assigned schedules.\r\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\r\nProficiency with Microsoft Office software.\r\nExperience using ERP systems and WMS software is preferred.\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nOffice, warehouse, and manufacturing/factory environment.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nPosition requires lifting of boxes weighing 3040 lbs.\r\nSafety Requirements\r\nAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
