Based in any TWM office, this position will involve working on a variety of transportation and traffic engineering projects while collaborating with professionals across the firm.\n\n*Experience Level: *At least 5-10 years of post-bachelor’s degree experience in transportation and/or traffic engineering\n\n*Schedule: *Full-time, 40 hours/week\n\n*Salary: *$85,000-$125,000/year – salary is commensurate with experience\n\n*Location: *Based in any TWM office\n\n*Essential Job Functions:*\n\n· Perform traffic analysis and modeling\n\n· Prepare traffic impact studies, including trip generation, traffic projection distributions, etc.\n\n· Complete intersection design studies, intersection capacity analyses, traffic signal and turn lane warrant analyses\n\n· Assist in TMP, MOT, and other traffic-related designs that support overall roadway projects\n\n· Perform roadside safety and crash analyses\n\n· Provide recommendations for countermeasures and safety improvements\n\n*Qualifications Desired:*\n\n· BS in civil or traffic/transportation engineering with at least 5-10 years of post-graduation experience\n\n· Professional Engineer license in Tennessee, Illinois, or Missouri (or the ability to obtain)\n\n· Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification is a plus\n\n· Knowledge of transportation and traffic engineering principles and standards, and ability to interpret and apply in various situations\n\n· Knowledge of traffic analysis software such as Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, and SIDRA\n\n· Familiarity with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the AASHTO Green Book\n\n· Design skills using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D\n\n· Direct experience with DOT, local county, municipal, and/or developer-driven transportation and traffic projects preferred\n\n· Ability to compose recommendations and clearly communicate analysis and recommendations in written reports\n\n· Capability and desire to assist with business development and client relationships is a plus\n\n· Willingness to represent TWM at conferences and professional societies is a plus\n\n· Experience in the following would also be a plus:\n\no Corridor/analysis modeling\n\no Traffic signal design, signal timing optimization\n\no Field traffic observation and adjustments of controller boxes\n\no Intelligent Transportation System design\n\n*Benefits Summary:*\n\nCompetitive salary and fringe benefits with exceptional bonus incentives.
