Van Driver- Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) required

divh2Job Title/h2pDuties and Responsibilities:/pulliThe safe and efficient operation of assigned motor vehicle/liliExtensive contact with patients/residents of a nursing home facility/liliAssisting ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals enter and leave the vehicle/liliEnsuring that passengers are safely seated inside the motor vehicle/liliSecuring residents mobility devices such as walkers and wheelchairs/liliKeeping a record of each bus trip and the residents who attended/liliDocumenting the mileage and time for each bus trip/liliPerforming preventive maintenance functions such as checking lights, maintaining fluid levels, checking tire pressure, etc. and notifying supervisory personnel of need for further service or repair/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliBasic knowledge of methods and techniques used to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle/liliSkill in the operation and basic maintenance of assigned motor vehicle/liliAbility to find geographic locations/liliAbility to follow oral/written instructions and keep a record of activities/liliAbility to lift, maneuver, and support materials of up to 80 pounds/liliAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents and staff/liliPossession of a valid drivers license/li/ulpExperience:/pulliSix to 12 months of work experience operating, loading, and unloading a motor vehicle/liliAny equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities stated above/liliExperience working with individuals with disabilities or experience working in long term care a plus/li/ulpBenefits:/pulliHealth insurance/liliDental insurance/liliVision insurance/liliRetirement plan/liliPaid time off/li/ul/div
