They will play a supporting role in achieving the organization's goals by assisting with requirements analysis, system architecture development, integration and test activities, documentation management, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, test, and program management teams. This position will directly impact system readiness and mission capability through the delivery of validated, traceable, and fully integrated tactical communication solutions that meet customer and operational requirements.\n\nCORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES\nAble to perform the following with supervision:\nSupport the design, integration, and testing of RF systems and subsystems-including transmitters, receivers, antennas, amplifiers, and distribution networks-ensuring compliance with performance and interface requirements. Perform RF analysis and troubleshooting activities such as link budgets, frequency planning, path loss verification, and interference mitigation while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.\nExecute laboratory and field RF testing to validate performance, EMI/EMC compliance, and regulatory requirements, utilizing standard RF test equipment and documented procedures. Analyze test data, identify and resolve performance anomalies, and maintain accurate technical documentation including test plans, reports, configuration records, and interface control artifacts.\nAssist in designing, developing, and testing computer systems, including hardware, software, and networking components.\nIntegrate multiple systems, hardware, and software components to ensure seamless functionality.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues (bugs), as needed.\nWork closely with cross- functional teams, including software development, test/QA, technical support, technical writing, system architects, configuration management, and all levels of program management.\nMaintain accurate and up to date documentation of system designs, System Requirement Document (SRD), System Requirement Specification (SRS), software user manuals, configurations, requirement traceability matrices, risk assessments, System Engineering Management Plan, Interface control documents, version description documents, fault tree assessments.\nParticipate in the systems engineering life-cycle by supporting and assisting with key activities across all phases, including requirements analysis, system design and architecture, implementation and integration, testing and verification, documentation, troubleshooting and maintenance, and collaboration.\nResearch and systems engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices; stay updated on industry trends and support in the training of junior members of the team.\n\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\nBasic knowledge of the following:\nNetworking concepts and protocols\nOne or more programming languages\nIEEE standards, systems integration and design principles\nRequirement Management Tools\nFundamental RF engineering concepts, including frequency spectrum, modulation techniques, propagation principles, link budgets, impedance matching, and basic transmitter/receiver architectures\nRF test and measurement fundamentals, including use of spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and understanding of key parameters such as gain, bandwidth, noise figure, VSWR, and signal-to-noise ratio\n\nEDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS\nRequired BS STEM Degree\n\nTYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS\nGeneral office environment\nComputer/Equipment lab\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nMay be expected to lift up to 25 lbs\nFrequent use of keyboard and typing\nFrequent sitting and standing\n\nWORK SCHEDULE\n9/80\nThe ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.\n\nPAY RANGE\n$100,000.00 to $ $125,000.00 annually, DOE\n\nU.S. Citizenship is Required\n\nSECURITY CLEARANCE\nCandidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score).
