There is no challenge we can’t turn into opportunity.\nGDIT is seeking a Cybersecurity Implementation Engineer to support our Intelligence Community customer in Springfield, VA.\nResponsibilities:\nBuild, deploy, configure, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based cybersecurity infrastructure and applications running on Windows and Linux operating systems\nEngineer and implement cybersecurity solutions leveraging cloud services such as EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and RDS. Provision AMIs, perform software installations, troubleshooting and maintenance.\nAssist with research and implementation of enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.\nEvaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices\nProvide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.\nRepresent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.\nDevelop and maintain architecture diagrams.\nDevelop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.\nAssist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all network configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation.\nMay serve as a team or task lead.\nCoordinate with stakeholders and external assessors to facilitate security assessments and authorization processes.\nQualifications:\nRequired\nA deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge of one or more of the other following: Network Detection and Response (NDR), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), F5 platforms, email/web security gateways\nStrong technical background with a thorough understanding of cloud infrastructure, security principles, compute, storage, and transport.\nExpertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems.\nExcellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations to senior/executive management\nAbility to work independently with little direction and guidance\n6+ years related technical experience in network/cybersecurity engineering and experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a highly diverse environment with an emphasis in DoW capabilities\nDemonstrated experience modernizing complex enterprise cybersecurity systems.\nCandidate must have a TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph\nCertified DoW 8140.01 and 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Officer (IAT) Level III and Information Assurance System Architecture and Engineering Specialist (IASAE) Level II.\nCSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 120 days of start date.\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n6 + years of related experience\nmay vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\nCertification\nInformation Assurance System Architecture and Engineering Specialist (IASAE) Level II - DoD\n8140.01 - DoD\n8570.01-M - DoD\nTravel Required\nNone\nCitizenship\nU.S. Citizenship Required\nSalary and Benefit Information\nThe likely salary range for this position is $124,093 - $149,500.
