Take instruction from foreman to maintain schedule, quality, and progress within the specifications of each job.\r\nQualification Requirements:\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED is preferred.\r\nA minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred.\r\nMust have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.\r\nTWIC required.\r\nMust have a valid Texas Driver's License with minimal infractions.\r\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\r\nDemonstrated industrial Ironworker history experience.\r\nKnowledge of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.\r\nKnowledge of industrial machinery and equipment\r\nOrganization and time management & good problem-solving abilities\r\nAbility to work with others team player, good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.\r\nHoist steel beams, girders, and columns into place, using cranes, or signal hoisting equipment operators to lift and position structural-steel members.\r\nBolt aligned structural steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding into place.\r\nRide on girders or other structural steel members to position them or use rope to guide them into position.\r\nFabricate metal parts, such as steel frames, columns, beams, or girders, according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.\r\nEssential Functions:\r\nFollow OSHA safety guidelines.\r\nRead and understand blueprints and project layout.\r\nMeasure and cut metal parts to exact specifications.\r\nInstall or fabricate metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworks.\r\nRepair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures.\r\nBasic crane rigging.\r\nOperation of scissor lift, boom lift, and other machinery to move metal pieces into place.\r\nClean and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition.\r\nFollow all industry and governmental regulations on safety protocols.\r\nPhysical Demands:\r\nEmployee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.
