By addressing an often-overlooked barrier to success, the organization is helping shift how communities think about child development - ensuring that every child has the comfort, stability, and support needed to rest well and reach their full potential.With strong national reach, a differentiated model, and growing demand, Beyond Bedtime is entering its next phase of growth - focused on strengthening its infrastructure and expanding its impact so that more children, regardless of circumstance, have the opportunity to experience the power of a good night’s sleep.Role Summary: Director of FinanceBeyond Bedtime is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the organization through a critical phase of financial stabilization and growth. Reporting to the Executive Director, this leader will strengthen financial performance and help guide a $2.1M organization through a period of financial transition, bringing clarity, discipline, and a path to long-term sustainability. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven organization with strong program demand and help build the financial foundation for its next chapter.This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that extends beyond traditional finance. The Director will partner closely with the Executive Director, leadership team, and Development function to align financial strategy with revenue generation - playing an active role in advancing grant strategy, including identifying new funding opportunities, supporting grant budgeting and reporting, and strengthening financial storytelling. This leader will help position programs to unlock new funding streams and contribute meaningfully to diversifying revenue. Success in this role will require someone who can operate as both a financial leader and a strategic partner, translating financial insights into decisions that drive growth and impact.As the organization’s first in-house finance leader, the Director will build and operationalize the finance function from the ground up. This includes transitioning work from outsourced providers, implementing systems and processes, and establishing the infrastructure needed to support a growing organization. Operating as a one-person team initially, this leader will balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution - bringing structure to complexity, creating efficient workflows, and building a strong foundation for future scale.
