You will own critical processes including balance sheet and P&L reconciliation, balance sheet substantiation, inter-entity control and governance, and month-end close while coordinating closely with product control and legal entity controllers teams. You will work with large datasets, engage with senior leaders, and partner with a global support team to strengthen the control framework and drive process improvements across the equities space.\nJob Responsibilities Help supporting a specific line of business within the Corporate & Investment Bank such as Currencies & Emerging Markets, Rates, Credit Trading, Securitized Products Group, Equities, and Risk\nWork closely with various line of business controllers, middle office, business managers, technology, and operations.\nUnderstand end-to-end flow of trading activities, booking models, product configurations, and trade economics to apply relative accounting policies and enhance control framework.\nResponsible for the integrity and accuracy of line of business income statement and balance sheet at month, quarter, and year-ends\nEngagement in line of business initiatives and projects, be the financial control subject matter expert.\nAbility to proactively identify process and/or infrastructure enhancements and work with stakeholders to enact change.\nOversee preparation of the firm's primary financial statements at quarter-end for use in the earnings release and Securities Exchange Commission filings\nControl post-closing entries and consolidation adjustments.\nManage intercompany eliminations, a key component of the financial consolidation process.\nPerform various control procedures to ensure the integrity of reported financial results and enhance the overall control environment around the financial reporting function.\nMobilize change wherever possible in order to simplify processes and enhance controls.\nRequired Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities Bachelor’s degree required.\nMinimum of 1 years of related experience\nBasic knowledge of the General Ledger accounting process\nGood understanding of the reporting and month end close responsibilities & understanding of Financial Products\nComfortable liaising with business and risk managers\nAble to build and maintain partnerships within the various product aligned businesses and across other corporate financial, treasury, and accounting groups.\nAble to understand business drivers and requirements and influence middle and front office partners to deliver solutions to business issues and problems.\nStrong analytical skills: Ability to quickly understand workings of a complex processing system and general ledger systems across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies.\nExcellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, verbal, and written communication skills\nAble to multi-task in a constantly changing environment and the Ability to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues.\nJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
