Their Plastic Division is a facility specializing in plastic reels, featuring injection molding presses rated up to 500 tons, a dedicated extrusion line, and a growing mold maintenance and repair department.Your RoleAs the Mold Maintenance Lead, you'll be key person responsible for maintaining and repairing molds used in our client’s injection molding operations. You'll ensure molds are production ready, troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with other team members to maintain high-quality standards and minimize downtime.What You'll Do:Perform routine and preventive maintenance on molds—cleaning, lubrication, and part replacementDiagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issuesComplete teardowns and rebuilds of molds after production runsMachine specific replacement parts as neededInspect molds and molded parts to ensure quality standards are metMaintain safety standards and ensure OSHA complianceManage inventory of mold parts, tools, and suppliesMaintain accurate maintenance records and update standard operating proceduresCollaborate with production and engineering teams to solve challenges and drive improvementsPlay a key role in upgrading their mold maintenance department and expanding our client’s foundation for growthExperience:5+ years of hands-on mold maintenance experience plus least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership roleProficiency in mold repair and mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience with hot runner moldsBasic machining skills on lathes and millsFamiliarity with OSHA and ISO 9001 standardsSkills:Excellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to read technical drawings and schematicsBasic computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office)Self-starter mindset with a commitment to quality and safetyEducation:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing (preferred)RJG Master Molder, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certifications (preferred)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environmentThis is a full-time 1st shift position which may require flexibility depending on production needs and occasional on-call availability for emergency repairs.If you’re ready to be an owner, connect with us – we’d like to tell you more!This position is at one of our client’s Vermont manufacturing facilities.Competitive compensation based on experience – Relocation assistance.
