As a Senior Software System Engineer you will actively participate in the development of radio frequency signal acquisition, geolocation and analysis systems used for Signal Monitoring, Communications Intelligence, and Counter-UAS purposes.\nThis person will apply their strong radio frequency and signal processing background, and software development skills to meeting signal detection, identification, processing, geolocation and analysis challenges facing spectrum regulators, intelligence organizations and defense agencies around the globe.\nSpecifically, this person will develop software to implement architectures using TCI’s existing technical base along with new development work that will satisfy both customer specific and market generic requirements. Duties will include providing technical assistance to other engineering departments, customers and to the marketing and sales department.\nWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be but not limited to:\nDevelop a deep understanding of TCI’s COMINT/EW and Counter-UAS products, underlying technology and implementation, and become a key contributor to architecting and implementing new products and product improvements.\nModify existing software and develop new software to implement improvements or add new features to our systems.\nSpecify, test and qualify new and replacement system hardware components, including computers and drives.\nPerform QA testing and analysis of new hardware and software performance up to the system level. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $165,200 - $205,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
