This role will focus primarily on modern Microsoft-based application development, including .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure cloud services, and responsive web technologies in a cloud first architecture.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can work closely with business stakeholders, technology team members, and leadership to understand business needs and deliver practical, maintainable software solutions. This role requires strong technical judgment, a security-first mindset, and the ability to contribute across the full application development lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and ongoing support.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support secure enterprise web applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.\nBuild and maintain internal and external-facing APIs that support business processes, system integrations, and application functionality.\nDevelop application solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Blazor, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks where appropriate.\nDesign or assist in designing and implementing efficient Microsoft SQL Server database objects needed to support application functionality, including tables, views, stored procedures, and queries.\nCollaborate with business users, product owners, analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.\nBuild cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure services, patterns, and best practices (Functions, Logic Apps, etc.).\nParticipate in application architecture discussions and contribute to decisions around performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.\nSupport application authentication, authorization, and identity management using modern security practices such as OpenID Connect, OAuth, Azure AD, or Azure B2C.\nDevelop and maintain integrations between internal systems, external platforms, and third-party services.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, test, and production environments.\nWrite clean, maintainable, well-documented code that aligns with team standards and secure development practices.\nParticipate in code reviews, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement of development processes.\nUse source control, DevOps pipelines, and deployment tools to support reliable and repeatable software delivery.\nWork with the Application Development team to modernize legacy applications, improve system performance, and reduce technical debt.\nMaintain a strong focus on protecting sensitive business, client, member, and healthcare-related information.\nStay current with modern application development practices, Microsoft cloud technologies, and emerging tools that can improve software delivery.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.\nMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in application development, software engineering, or a similar technical role.\nStrong experience developing applications with C# and the Microsoft .NET platform.\nExperience building secure web applications and APIs for internal and external users.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, and designing application-supporting database structures.\nExperience with front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Blazor, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.\nExperience developing, deploying, or supporting applications in Microsoft Azure or another cloud environment.\nFamiliarity with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Application Insights, and related platform services.\nUnderstanding of secure development practices, including authentication, authorization, data protection, logging, and error handling.\nExperience with RESTful API design and system integration concepts.\nFamiliarity with source control and DevOps tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or similar platforms.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex application issues and identify practical solutions.\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.\nAbility to with healthcare, pharmacy benefit management, claims processing, or other regulated business environments.\nFamiliarity with HIPAA, PHI, PII, or similar data protection requirements.\nExperience with mobile application development that securely interfaces with public APIs.\nExperience designing responsive or mobile-friendly web applications.\nExperience with AI accelerated development using tools such as Claude Code, Devin, or Windsurf.\nExperience modernizing legacy applications or migrating applications to cloud-native platforms.\nExperience with automated testing, unit testing, integration testing, or test-driven development.\nFamiliarity with containerization, microservices, or cloud-native design patterns.\nExperience working in Agile or iterative software development
