As a key team member of the Technical Department within the mill, this position will initially be focused on our environmental treatment facility at Lake Utopia Paper where we operate the world's largest Anaerobic Digester. The position is responsible to manage projects in the areas of product development, process improvement, cost control, and to support capital projects.\nResponsibilities Lead mill investigations, trials and improvement projects\nAnalyze process trends, interpreting data and proposing solutions\nWork to improve process, environmental and quality related initiatives\nResponsible for continuous improvement opportunities\nCommunicate process changes all while adhering to and promoting safe work practices\nOther duties as required\nQualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering\nPulp and Paper industry experience\nDemonstrated leadership ability\nWell-developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously\nInterest in a variety of business functions, such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Technical, Project Management and Safety\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nCuriosity and persistence – you are a problem-solver with natural tendency to ask questions\nStrong focus on safety and process improvement\nDrive, initiative, teamwork\nLanguage required: English\nLocation Lake Utopia Paper produces high quality corrugating medium for the North American and export markets.
