DevOps Subject Matter Experts (SME) ensures the quality, reliability, and stability of all production systems and services while employing DevOps best practices. SMEs are cross-functional experts who are primarily charged with facilitating organizational collaboration, establishing and enforcing enterprise-wide process and seeking opportunities for improvements in delivery.\n\nQualifications\n\nResponsibilities:\nProvide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex solutions by making information technology/information management related recommendations.\nAdvise on organizational improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, risk management, software life-cycle management and development methodologies, visual design, information architecture, copywriting, and content management.\nLeads engagement with software developers and infrastructure engineers to integrate software development and delivery from inception to full operation, ensuring robust released software and systems, typically for high traffic services or key infrastructure.\nLeads in the analysis of technical requirements of applications to ensure systems provide required availability, latency, scalability and efficiency.\nDevelops the technical \"vision for fault tolerance, performance enhancement and configuration management of applications, and may lead in implementation.\nAdvises infrastructure team regarding current and future systems needs and repercussions of infrastructure changes.\nMay participate in the development of infrastructure and platform roadmaps.\nLeads the release of new software and systems, typically for high traffic services or key infrastructure.\n\nKey Skills:\nIn-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, Automated Quality Testing, Software Configuration Management and Automated Platform provisioning.\nApplication of principles, methods and knowledge of IT service management and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and implement the ITIL change control standards and to incorporate them into policy and procedures.\nKnowledge of, and administration experience with Configuration Management tools such as IBM Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, Subversion Jenkins and Nexus.\nExpert proficiency in Linux system administration.\nExpert proficiency in deploying Cloud based infrastructure. Expert proficiency in modern SCM packages (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).\nAdvanced to Expert proficiency in programming languages (Java, Ruby, C/C++, Node.JS etc), database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, Redis), and networking protocols used for the implementation of supported systems\n5 or more years of progressively complex related experience.\nExperience working in highest levels of large organizations; C-level reporting, large meeting facilitation etc.\n\nRequirements:\n\nA related Bachelor’s Degree.\n5+ years of professional experience in an information technology, information management, or a related field.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nWe urge qualified candidates o apply for this position and experience the rewards of working for a progressive, dynamic, and forward-thinking organization that values the development of success of its employees.
