Responsible for cross-training support of local personnel (CNG, RNG & H2) and in some cases, the Customer. Ensuring all needs of the project are met and provide technical assurance for the safe, efficient and optimum operations of all equipment. The Special Projects Technicians are required to travel for work frequently, and the trips will be up to a few weeks at a time. This position reports to the Senior Manager - Special Projects.\n\nSchedule:\nLocation – The position can be based near any Certarus hubs in the US. Some strategic exceptions if in a surrounding state\nHours of work will be set and can flex based on the business needs of the Special Projects or supporting local hubs\nExtensive travel required; schedule subject to change (generally a 21-7 or 14-4)\n\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nSupport the Special Projects with tasks such as job planning, site visits, training technicians and drivers in the safe execution of projects and providing a high level of technical support\nSet the standards at new job sites and assist with training of other personnel\nWork in conjunction with Operations, Logistics, Sales, Engineering, HSE, from start to finish of a project\nMonitor SCADA system onsite & remote to ensure effective utilization of resources\nCoordinate with third-party vendors to ensure all necessary equipment is delivered on time and safely\nProvide preventative and corrective services on gas compression and process equipment on both Certarus and customer sites as needed\nEnsure safe and efficient setup of equipment\nWork with maintenance and local hubs to ensure equipment is function-tested and job ready\nCoordinate with hubs to ensure adequate equipment for upcoming jobs in the area\nSupport tracking of all equipment as required\nCollaborate with training team to ensure training correlates to technician competencies regarding CNG, RNG & H2 and aligns with job requirements\nUtilize company credit card responsibility and conduct monthly reporting\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nRequirements:\n3-5 years of applicable oil & gas experience, midstream or industrial experience. Relevant gas compression experience is a plus.\nPrevious applications experience in CNG, LNG, Renewable Gas, or Hydrogen\nTroubleshooting experience with engines, compressor mechanics, production equipment, gas compression, electrical and instrumentation\nExcellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and an ability to deal tactfully with a wide range of personalities\nMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license and willing to drive long distances\nWillingness to fly\nRemain flexible with scheduling and start times\nMust be a safety-minded, self-starter, team player, and can manage your own time efficiently\nMaintaining a safe and professional driving record\nClean Motor Vehicle Record(s) (MVR & PSP) with no suspensions\nTWIC or ability to obtain\nTexas RRC certification or ability to obtain\n\nCertarus embraces diversity and equal opportunity in the way it impacts our continuous business success.
