Contract Attorney - Fluent German

Direct Counsel is looking for an for a long term contract attorney with German language skills. This position can sit in any of the following offices, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, D.C. Miami, Chicago, Silicon Valley, Tampa or Houston. Candidates must be barred in one of the states the above city is located. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general litigation. This position is for 6 month or longer.Responsibilities:Draft pleadings, discovery, memoranda, motions and other legal documentsHandle litigation matters from inception through trial, including taking depositions, attending mediations and settlement negotiationsMake independent decisions and advising clients on pre-litigation and litigation mattersWork with expertsLegal researchWorking with German counterpartsOther projects, as assignedQualifications:Motivated with the desire to achieve top level resultsThe ability to work well with a team as well as work well independentlyRequired Experience for the position:Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of solid experience in litigation in State courtsCompensation:Highly Competitive compensationJob Type:Full-time - Hybrid
