These positions will assist research stations with all operations that support the Global Breeding organization. These individuals will be critical to our ability to deliver timely data to our pipeline and will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge proprietary field research equipment. At Bayer, you have the opportunity to be part of a culture where we value the passion of our employees to innovate and give them the power to change.\nOperational Support Technician\n.\nYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupport research sites throughout the United States and into Canada\nUtilization of research equipment such as planters, harvesters, GPS/GIS data, tractors and proprietary software\nOperate and maintain research equipment\nManage different field testing operations such as plot maintenance, planting, and harvest.\nPerform safety inspections, and assist in providing safety training and guidance to field personnel\nWork closely with research teams to successfully maintain Quality Management Standards\nAssist in other projects and perform other duties as requested\nThis is a 100% travel position with a typical 2-week traveling 1-week home time schedule. Traveling can be within a region if necessary.\nWHO YOU ARE\nExperience in operating, maintaining, and repairing farm equipment\nAbility to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams\nAbility to take ownership of projects and produce quality results\nAbility to take constructive feedback and coaching and effective communication skills\nKnowledge in agronomy or related agriculture field preferred\nWillingness to travel and work irregular and overtime hours as needed\nThis position is a direct-hire temporary position with Bayer. The position is from February to November.\nRequirements:\nmust be at least 21\nmust have a valid driver’s license as this position will utilize company vehicles to travel\nmust have a willingness to learn new skills and perform various tasks\nHigh School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in related field preferred\nIMPORTANT NOTE for POTENTIAL US CANDIDATES: Bayer active employees are required to disclose their vaccination status and if fully vaccinated, provide proof of vaccination status before participating in approved activities for fully vaccinated employees. Bayer defines fully vaccinated in alignment with CDC which is two weeks after completing the two-dose vaccine regimen or two weeks after completing the one-dose regimen.
