CDL-A Dedicated Forklift/Local Driver - DPE

Job Description Dock and warehouse associates are the backbone of Averitt facilities. Using digital scanners and other top-notch, modern equipment, dock and warehouse associates manage the day-to-day loading/unloading of freight throughout our system in a safe and professional atmosphere. Due to the familiarity of overall Averitt culture and processes, many dock and warehouse workers become top candidates for operational leadership positions. **This position requires a Class A CDL** Why Choose Averitt? Competitive Pay:Average $1,188 per week / $61,776 per yearStarting pay: $23 per hourTop pay: $24 per hour reached within 30 daysAdditional Pay:Stop Pay: $25 per stop (Average 5-7 stops per week)Loading/unloading pay: $25 per stopDetention and breakdown pay availableAverage 50-60 hours per week Work Schedule:Home dailyMonday - Saturday; 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. Job Responsibilities:Primarily operating a forklift (90%) and acting as a fill-in driver as needed when drivers are on vacation, out sick, short runs, etc. (10%)Coverage area as fill-in driver: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and LouisianaMaintain & operate a heavy-duty four-wheel forklift to load, unload, and stage portable storage unitsAdhere to safety & equipment maintenance regulationsAttention to detail to ensure trailers are loaded correctlyWork in inclement weather (hot in summer, cold in winter)May be required to use computer to access customer website; to print driver paperwork (as needed basis only).
