Essential Functions of the Job:
Greet our patrons warmly, in person or on the phone, with a smile on your face and in your voice
Always wear required Saline Chevrolet uniform in order to represent the dealership in a professional manner.
Lead by example through daily actions to build positive employee attitudes and morale
Maintain a high standard of business ethics
Complete work specified on repair orders with accuracy, efficiency, and in strict accordance with dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, drivetrains, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and onboard electronics.
Conduct multi-point inspections and routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
Collaborate directly with Service Advisors and Sales Managers to ensure customers are informed of both initial concerns and any additional issues discovered. Provide accurate estimates for additional labor and repair time.
Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and special service tools to assess vehicle components and systems for proper function.
Perform repairs under manufacturer warranty, adhering strictly to OEM procedures and documentation requirements to ensure compliance and claim approval.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Follow OSHA and dealership safety policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
Explain technical issues to non-technical team members when necessary.
Stay current on factory training and certifications
Qualifications
Valid driver's license
ASE Certificate or State Mechanic Certificate
Strong automotive background
Strong teamwork skills
