For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Infrastructure Engineer.\n\nCore Knowledge & Skills: Manages routing/switching and network security, multi‑OS environments, virtualization (e.g., VMware/Hyper‑V), core cloud services, and release of IaC via pipelines; automates common admin tasks.\nWork & Complexity: Plans and executes upgrades/migrations, configures network devices and services, responds to incidents, monitors performance, and manages resources.\nQuality & Independence: Implements proactive monitoring, produces accurate documentation, improves processes, and works independently within project scope.\nTeamwork & Communication: Partners with peer teams, shares knowledge, coordinates changes, reports progress, and supports/train users.\nConsulting & Engagement: Advises internal teams on solutions and tools, evaluates technologies, recommends optimizations, and coordinates vendor support.\n\nAs your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Cloud Systems Engineer 4.\n\nProject Summary\nAIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure.\nKey Responsibilities\nDrives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations.\nPerforms system integration, verification and validation and\nsupportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.\nCreates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs.\nPerforms functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.\nUtilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes.\nResponsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues.\nConsidered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.\nDevelops technical solutions to complex problems.\nExercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.\nRequired For This Opportunity\nBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n8 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.\nCertifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications within 6 months of hire.\nActive Secret clearance.\nNice to Have Skills\nExperience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.\n\nAt AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member.\n\nThe targeted base salary range for this role is $89,000-$134,000 per year.
