Mobility CoordinatorLutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS)Full‐Time - Remote | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with occasional evening hours for presentations/meetings with community partnersMake The Ride Happen assists older adults and individuals with disabilities so they can remain active and involved in their community. Make The Ride Happen coordinates with other local transportation services to find rides for residents that meet their needs.The Mobility Coordinator provides education and support to help individuals understand, access, and coordinate transportation options within the community. Works to improve mobility for individuals by removing barriers and advocating for system change.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWorks with community partners and Mobility Manager to address transportation barriers and create new transportation optionsResponds to requests from individuals and agencies regarding transportationAdvocates on behalf of individuals as necessaryInteracts with transportation providers to understand existing transportation resources including geographic boundaries, eligibility, fares, service hours, days available and other pertinent informationMakes appropriate referrals to social service agencies, information and assistance providers and community resourcesEducates and promotes existing community resourcesMaintains database with individual demographic data and program informationAttends local advocacy meetings with providers, consumers and County Human Services AgenciesMaintains caller records, statistical reports and other projects related to transportation coordination as directed by the Program SupervisorUses alternative technologies/techniques, as well as interpreters, to communicate with people with varying abilities (TDD, Braille, etc.)Documents areas of unmet transportation needs and advocates when possible for added servicesExpects, supports, promotes and manages changeProvides input using a problem-solving approach to issuesPERKS:Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)By being employed with LSS, which is a non-profit agency, you can be eligible for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.Loans are eligible to be forgiven after 10 years of on-time and consistent payments through the income-based re-payment plan.Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceFlex Spending for Dependent & Health CareMileage reimbursementPaid Time Off10 Paid HolidaysAbility to Contribute to 403BLSS makes annual raises a priority for employeesEmployee Assistance ProgramService Awards and RecognitionQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
