This role is ideal for a seasoned Workday professional who can provide strategic guidance on designing a job architecture and compensation framework that aligns with Workday configuration requirements.The engagement will begin as a light advisory role during the RFP phase, requiring only a few hours per week. The primary focus will be on ensuring that proposed designs can transition into Workday with minimal rework. If the RFP is awarded, there will be an opportunity to expand into a larger role supporting full design and implementation efforts.Role Responsibilities:Provide advisory support on job architecture and compensation structure designEnsure alignment of proposed frameworks with Workday HCM data models and configuration requirementsReview and guide deliverables to support a Workday-ready design approachCollaborate with internal teams to shape RFP response content and solution approachIdentify potential risks, gaps, and considerations related to future Workday implementationOffer best practice recommendations based on prior Workday deploymentsKey Skills and Requirements: Proven experience as a Workday HCM Functional Architect or similar roleStrong understanding of Workday HCM configuration, data structures, and business processesExperience designing job architecture and/or compensation frameworksAbility to translate business requirements into Workday-aligned solutionsStrong advisory and stakeholder engagement skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesPreferred Qualifications: Experience supporting RFPs or pre-sales solutioning effortsPrior experience working with higher education or large, complex organizationsExperience in end-to-end Workday implementations, including design through deployment
