Our client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.\n\nSalary/Hourly Rate:\n$80k - $115k\n\nPosition Overview:\nThe Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in maximizing plant efficiency by optimizing utilities and minimizing downtime across all production units. This position is responsible for identifying and resolving maintenance challenges, implementing reliability-focused maintenance strategies, overseeing improvement projects, and driving continuous process improvements to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.\n\nResponsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:\nOversee the operation and performance of facility utility systems, including steam, boiler, water, and compressed air infrastructure, while tracking and reporting monthly utility usage and performance metrics.\nDrive equipment reliability and asset performance improvements through proactive maintenance strategies and process enhancements.\nCollaborate with production teams to improve operational efficiency, maximize uptime, and support quality objectives.\nAct as a technical subject matter expert for utility systems, maintenance processes, and equipment-related challenges.\nSupport maintenance technicians by providing engineering expertise, troubleshooting assistance, and practical solutions to complex issues.\nConduct failure analyses to determine underlying causes of recurring equipment problems and implement effective corrective actions.\nEvaluate and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment longevity and reduce unplanned downtime.\nMaintain regular communication with operations leadership and functional teams to align maintenance priorities and activities.\nIdentify and source necessary parts, materials, and resources required to support maintenance and repair efforts.\nLead capital and process improvement projects from concept through execution, including planning, budgeting, contractor coordination, installation oversight, and startup support.\nAnalyze equipment performance trends and maintenance data to identify opportunities for long-term reliability improvements.\nManage and monitor third-party service providers and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, effectively, and in accordance with project requirements.\nRequired Experience/Skills for the Maintenance Engineer:\n3+ years of engineering experience within chemical manufacturing, food processing, or similar industrial environments.\nKnowledge of industrial maintenance methodologies including PM, PDM, CMMS, RCM, and TPM.\nUnderstanding of engineering standards and safety practices.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\nExperience coordinating, training, and motivating maintenance personnel and contractors.\nStrong communication and technical writing skills.\nAbility to estimate, plan, schedule, and complete work orders effectively.\nExperience managing budgets and estimating project costs.\nKnowledge of capital expenditure management and return-on-investment principles.\nStrong teamwork and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Experience/Skills for the Maintenance Engineer:\nExperience with plant utility systems including boilers, steam distribution, water treatment, and compressed air systems.\nExperience leading continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.\nProject management and commissioning experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nBenefits:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance beginning the first day of the month following hire.\nAnnual incentive bonus eligibility based on individual and organizational performance.\nHealth Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).\n401(k) plan with company match and annual discretionary contribution.\nPaid time off including vacation, holidays, floating holidays, personal days, and sick leave.\nCompany-paid Life Insurance and Disability Insurance.\nPaid Parental Leave.\nFitness Membership Reimbursement Program.\nEducational Assistance Program.\nJob Wrapping ID: #LI-AJ3\n\nAbout Atrium: What you do matters.
