The Process Engineer is also responsible for continuous improvement of existing production cells, through implementation of industry best practices and automation.\nYour responsibilities will be:\nParticipate in Design for Automation (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) workshops.\nDefine the process for new product launches, including required equipment, process monitoring, and data collection.\nJustify proposed solutions based on data from cycle-time studies, current labor costs, and capital investment required.\nImplement production equipment according to product launch schedules utilizing a combination of external suppliers and internal resources.\nComplete documentation for new product launches, including: PFMEA’s, Cpk studies, Process Verification reports, Work Instructions, and Control Plans.\nIdentify root-cause of failures through experimentation (DOE’s) and historical data analysis.\nMonitor product lines and implement solutions which improve first-pass yield and improve production throughput in existing production cells.\nTraining of direct labor in newly developed or improved processes to ensure smooth transition to production.\nWork with Product Design Engineering during the development phase to understand key product characteristics.\nOur Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, or equivalent)\nAbility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.\nKnowledge of OHSA regulations pertaining to industrial manufacturing equipment/environments\n5+ years’ experience supporting legacy product in a manufacturing environment\n5+ years’ experience in value-added assembly\n5+ years’ experience supporting new product development in a manufacturing setting.\nWould be advantageous:\nExperience with automated manufacturing systems such as:\nRobotics\nPLCs\nVision Systems\nLaser Marking\nExperience with MES and ERP systems such as:\nOracle\nIgnition\nExperience with CAD packages such as:\nSolid Edge Mechanical\nSolid Edge Electrical\nWhat we offer:\nJE offers talented employee’s exceptional opportunities to learn and grow professionally with rewarding careers.
