Assistant Cook

Las Brisas is seeking a full-time Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a long-standing, family-owned restaurant known for authentic Mexican food, consistency, and heartfelt service. If you have experience, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow, we'd love to welcome you into our kitchen family. Must be available to work Tuesday to Sunday 3pm to close. Starting pay $18-19 with the opportunity for an increase in pay after 90-day evaluation if all requirements are met. About the Role As a full-time Assistant Cook, you will support our Chef/Founder in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen organization, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who wants stability, long-term growth, and hands-on experience in a traditional Mexican kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare food items according to recipes and Chef instructions. Maintain clean, organized workstations, refrigerators, and storerooms. Assist with timely preparation of customer orders. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Support daily kitchen operations and help wherever needed. Work collaboratively with the Chef. Requirements Bilingual (Spanish/English or Spanish-speaking) to communicate with Chef/Founder. Honest, responsible, dependable, and punctual. Valid Food Handler Certification. Knowledge of Mexican food; culinary skills a plus. Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred. Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
