Hours worked will be 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.\nEDUCATION:\nMinimum of HS Diploma or GED.\nEXPERIENCE:\nAt least 1 year of manufacturing, quality, or laboratory experience.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBasic understanding of chemistry, mathematics, and statistical concepts.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nWillingness to learn laboratory testing methods, equipment operation, and quality systems.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nRegular attendance and punctuality are required.\nAbility to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nFrequent walking, standing, and stair climbing between laboratory and manufacturing areas.\nWork is performed primarily in laboratory and pilot-scale manufacturing environments.\nPotential exposure to chemicals, heat, noise, fumes, and airborne particles consistent with a manufacturing laboratory setting.\nVisual ability to read, interpret, and document laboratory data and test results.\nResponsibilities:\nWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support our Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) laboratory operations on a temporary basis. This position provides laboratory testing and quality support for TPU manufacturing by performing physical, chemical, and mechanical testing of in-process and finished products, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate reporting of quality data.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with laboratory, production, and quality personnel to help meet customer requirements and production objectives while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nFollowing all safety procedures, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.\nPerforming physical, chemical, and mechanical testing on in-process and finished TPU products according to established testing plans and methods.\nConducting MFI, physical, and chemical testing on samples from production.\nOperating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including extruders and injection molding equipment used to prepare test specimens.\nRecording, reviewing, and entering test results accurately into electronic systems such as SAP, LIMS, or other laboratory databases.\nReleasing laboratory data in a timely manner to support manufacturing operations.\nPerforming routine equipment checks, calibration verification, and preventative maintenance activities.\nInvestigating, documenting, and escalating out-of-specification results according to established procedures.\nSupporting production teams in resolving quality-related issues.\nAssisting with laboratory documentation updates, continuous improvement activities, and process standardization efforts.\nEvaluating color and appearance properties using laboratory instrumentation, including spectrophotometers.\nMaintaining laboratory cleanliness and organization in accordance with established standards.\nComments/Special Instructions\nThe 12-hour shift rotates from night shift to day shift.\nStefanini takes pride in hiring top talent and developing relationships with our future employees.
