Head Chef

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to lead our team and elevate our dining experience to new heights. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu creation and food preparation to team management and ensuring impeccable food safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, busy, small family brewery environment. All applicants are expected to be ServSafe certified within 30 days of employment, have reliable transportation and experience. Menu/receipes are expected to incorporate craft beer made on site.
Responsibilities
Develop innovative menus that showcase culinary creativity while adhering to dietary guidelines and customer preferences
Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and timely delivery of dishes
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and maintaining optimal stock levels
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain rigorous cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas
Coordinate with the catering and banquet teams to execute large-scale events seamlessly
Monitor shift operations, manage staffing schedules, and optimize workflow for maximum efficiency
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and service enhancements
Experience
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background
Proven supervising experience leading diverse kitchen teams in high-volume settings
Demonstrated expertise in food handling, preparation, and presentation techniques
Experience managing inventory control systems and food cost management strategies
Knowledge of food safety standards and local health regulations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teamwork and foster a positive work environment
Previous restaurant management experience is highly desirable but not required. This position would be an ideal entry position for someone looking to move up from a previous fry or sous chef position.
