You'll use your Meat Market experience to effectively manage inventory and assist with ordering and production planning to drive metrics.Key Responsibilities & Essential FunctionsStore Lead Operations:Applies experience and knowledge to support the Store and Department in Manager's absenceLeads the market team and meat cutting team in efficient day-to-day operations and a constant workflowDelegates / directs work; assists with setting department-related expectations (e.g., ORT, wrap, safety, sanitation, 5s); motivates Partners; may coach and/or provide feedback; may help with department work schedulesAdministers / ensures compliance with company, Store, and department policies and proceduresApplies experience and knowledge to assist with production planning and inventory control and management; takes inventory; orders appropriate product in reaction to inventory; loads, unloads, and moves products; performs quality controlHandles Customer, Partner, and sanitation issues according to guidelines; escalating to management as neededTroubleshoots / reports equipment issuesMerchandises products effectively; ensures proper product rotation and storageConsistently and effectively communicates to ensure highest quality and freshness standards are metAnswers product- and service-related questions; answers calls, directs questions to appropriate department or PartnerProduction / Customer ServiceAssists in all technical areas such as meat cutting, as neededExecute and ensure compliance of Fresh Production PlannerCuts, trims, trays meat for display, according to company standards; weighs / wraps / labels product packages for saleOperates power meat prep and process equipment; maintains coolers and freezersPerforms Department and cross-functional duties as neededFood Safety / SanitationEnsures compliance with federal and state regulations and Store and department standard operating proceduresMaintains safety / sanitation of equipment according to standardsPractices safety awareness; safely performs meat cutting duties at all timesOversees production area sanitation standards are metEnsures a clean and safe department and work areas, sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipmentThe responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
