We're seeking a talented Platform Engineer to help architect, deploy, and manage our AWS and on-premises platforms while supporting emerging AI capabilities, modern containerized workloads, and enterprise virtualization environments.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure spanning AWS GovCloud and on-premises data centers, ensuring compliance with federal security standards\nManage Kubernetes fleet operations across AWS EKS, on-premises Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE), and VMware vSphere with Kubernetes (VKS)\nLead application modernization initiatives, migrating and optimizing workloads across cloud and on-premises environments\nAdminister and optimize hyper-visor clusters (VMware vSphere, ESXi) for enterprise workloads\nManage Splunk infrastructure for centralized logging, monitoring, and security analytics\nImplement comprehensive audit logging, monitoring, and observability solutions across hybrid environments\nSupport security engineering initiatives including vulnerability management, compliance automation, and security hardening\nSupport emerging AI/ML capabilities and cloud-native solutions\nBuild and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment using Jira for project management\nEnsure systems meet NIST 800-53 and FISMA compliance requirements\nAutomate operational tasks and improve platform reliability across both cloud and on-premises infrastructure\nContribute to architectural decisions and hybrid cloud strategy\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nAWS GovCloud and on-premises data center experience\nKubernetes fleet management experience (EKS, Mirantis, VKS)\nVMware vSphere administration and cluster management\nSplunk administration and enterprise log management\nKnowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and FISMA compliance frameworks\nExperience with security engineering, audit logging, and monitoring tools\nApplication modernization and containerization experience\nExperience with AI/ML infrastructure and services\nGitLab and Jira experience\nAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer)\nVMware or Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)\nExperience in financial services or federal government environments\n\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
