Our team designs and builds cutting-edge prototypes that push the boundaries of efficiency, performance, and size. We are seeking a highly skilled Prototype Machinist to support our rapid development and testing initiatives.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Prototype Machinist will be responsible for machining precision components for engine prototypes and test fixtures. This role requires strong CNC programming and machining experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-driven, and comfortable working with both CNC and manual equipment.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgram, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and lathes, with an emphasis on multi-axis milling.\nUtilize Haas and Fanuc controls to execute complex machining operations.\nCreate and optimize machining programs using MasterCam (preferred).\nProduce high-precision prototype components from engineering drawings, 3D models, and sketches.\nInspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met.\nOperate manual machine tools, including:\nSurface grinder\nBridgeport mill\nManual lathe\nCollaborate closely with engineers, designers, and technicians to refine prototype designs.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.\nAssist in developing machining processes, tooling selections, and fixture designs for prototype builds.\nRequired Qualifications\nProficiency operating and programming CNC mills and lathes; experience with multi-axis milling strongly preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of Haas and Fanuc controls.\nExperience programming and tool-pathing using MasterCam (preferred but not required).\nDemonstrated ability to operate manual machine tools (surface grinder, Bridgeport, manual lathe).\nAbility to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&T.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on prototype projects.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nBenefits & Perks\nPTO: We value work–life balance and encourage time to rest and recharge.
