DOE\n\nJob type: 6‑month contract (possibility of extension or hire)\n\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a Process Engineer to be a key member of a manufacturing and process development team within the life sciences industry. This role focuses on the technology transfer of chemical manufacturing processes and will lead equipment and process validation activities, as well as future process optimization and scale‑up initiatives. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with strong communication, leadership, technical, and operational skills who thrives in a collaborative environment.\n\nEssential Job Functions\n\nLead installation, operational, and performance qualifications of process equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ) and process validation activities.\n\nSupport implementation of new chemical processes by generating process flow diagrams (PFDs), mass and energy balances, and conducting safety (HAZOP) and quality risk assessments (FMEA).\n\nLead the development and execution of work instructions and standard operating procedures.\n\nProvide technical support for process deviations, including investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).\n\nDrive process improvements through data‑driven decision‑making and process analysis.\n\nPromote and reinforce a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related field.\n\n7–10 years of relevant industry experience, including experience in chemical manufacturing.\n\nExperience with process validation, technology transfer, and manufacturing process optimization preferred.\n\nSafety‑first mindset.\n\nKnowledge of process and equipment validation methodologies.\n\nStrong understanding of ISO standards, risk assessments, deviation investigations, and change control processes.\n\nKnowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).\n\nUnderstanding of statistical tools and statistical process control (SPC).\n\nLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge preferred.\n\nThis position requires work in office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.\n\nThe Process Engineer will work closely with production personnel and cross‑functional departments.\n\nTravel may be required as part of the role.\n\nThis job description lists all desired skills, but not all are required.
