Curio Crate supports chapter leaders with resources, guidelines, and tools to help them build strong, sustainable local networks.Role Description The Chapter President at Curio Crate serves as the primary leader and organizer for a local chapter, overseeing all aspects of chapter planning and member engagement. In this remote role, the Chapter President coordinates and hosts regular virtual meetings or events, manages the chapter calendar, and ensures activities align with Curio Crate’s mission and values. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting and welcoming new members, facilitating discussions, delegating responsibilities to volunteers, and maintaining clear communication through email, messaging platforms, and social channels. The Chapter President collaborates with Curio Crate’s central team to implement programs, share feedback, and report on chapter activities and outcomes. This role also involves monitoring chapter health, addressing member concerns, and fostering an inclusive, respectful, and positive community culture.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in community leadership, group facilitation, or leading clubs, organizations, or volunteer teams.Strong organizational and planning abilities, including managing calendars, coordinating events, and following through on commitments.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences in virtual settings.Comfort with remote collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing platforms, shared documents, messaging apps, and basic social media use).Proven ability to build inclusive spaces, listen to different perspectives, and resolve conflicts constructively.Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing needs.Interest in curiosity-driven learning, creative exploration, or community-building initiatives.Prior experience in program coordination, event planning, education, or nonprofit/volunteer settings is beneficial but not required.
