Founded in 1867, the company today has around 22,000 employees, sales of € 5,5 billion and locations in over 60 countries worldwide and is thus one of the larger family-owned companies in Europe.\n\nVoith Paper is hiring for:\n\nEngineer, Projects\nSpringfield, OR\n\nYour tasks:\n\nProject Manager:\nEffectively support customers by managing customer projects from initial quotation through project completion\nInteract with customers on engineering design and any questions/problems they may have.\nPrepare proposal quotation and documentation.\nPrepare technical data such as qualification test procedures, acceptance test procedures, reports, component maintenance manuals, etc.\nFacilitator:\nPerform liaison function between engineering and all mechanical services operations for any related issues, problems, or improvements.\nInteract with vendors concerning parts they supply or propose to supply to company.\nCoordinate as required with internal groups including purchasing, quality control, sales, production, accounting personnel, metal finishing and assembly.\nEngineering:\nGenerate and update process documentation, work Instructions, flow charts, etc.\nReview customer source control drawings, specification control drawings and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of the component.\nPerform all necessary calculations such as stress analysis, performance analysis, and pressure drop and flow analysis, etc. as required.\nInteract with mechanical personnel to define and solve manufacturing/design issues and implement cost reduction ideas regarding company products.\nParticipate in engineering and general design review as required.\nPrepare preliminary design proposal(s).\nHealth Safety and Environmental:\nDemonstrate safe behavior, make safety observations, and support safety initiatives\nProvide support for safety investigation RC/CA\nQuality:\nAssist in root cause investigation, and follow up on corrective actions\nKPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions\nOperations Excellence:\nPromote lean culture throughout the facility\nSupport OPEX events\nSupport KPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions\n\nYour profile:\n\nBachelor of engineering degree from four-year accredited college or university. Or a combination of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of college degree.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment a plus\nThe Project Engineer receives instruction, guidance, and direction from others with limited supervision.\nProject management experience\nProficient with computers applications MS Office suite, CAD, including electronic document control and distribution\nExcellent interpersonal skills. Can communicate effectively with other engineers, customers, shop floor team members etc.\nExperience working with automation and robots is a plus\nExperience working with CMM is a plus\nBasic knowledge of Quality systems is a plus\nKnowledge and experience applying Lean tools is a plus\nCapable of teaching and coaching other team members\nSix Sigma certification is a plus\nCWI certification is a plus\nExceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to independently manage multiple tasks.\nAbility to troubleshoot as necessary to achieve swift and accurate project results.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, across different levels of the organization.\nProfessional, personable & diplomatic\nAble to prioritize and act logically amid pressures & deadlines\n\nDon’t meet every single requirement but think you would be a good fit for our team?
