Any offer of employment will be contingent upon TT Electronics' review of the candidate's eligibility to access export-controlled information in accordance with applicable law.\n\nIntroduction\nThe Electrical Test Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and supporting depot, warranty, and upgrade electronic assemblies using component-level failure analysis and electrical troubleshooting. This role serves as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for legacy products by developing and maintaining standardized troubleshooting documentation, improving repair processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, isolate, and determine the root cause of failures in depot, warranty, and upgrade electronic assemblies using electrical schematics, engineering documentation, and electronic test equipment.\nPerform component-level fault isolation and determine appropriate repair actions to restore product functionality.\nRead, analyze, and interpret complex electrical schematics, circuit designs, and technical documentation.\nUse oscilloscopes, digital and analog multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment to diagnose electrical and electronic failures.\nProvide technical guidance and support to repair technicians on complex troubleshooting, failure analysis, and repair activities.\nDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve troubleshooting guides, fault trees, repair procedures, and engineering documentation to standardize repair processes and capture legacy product knowledge.\nAnalyze recurring product failures and identify opportunities for corrective actions, process improvements, and enhanced repair methods.\nInterface with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve technical issues and support engineering investigations.\nMaintain engineering logs, repair documentation, failure reports, and technical records to support product history and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport the development, validation, and continuous improvement of depot test methods, test equipment, fixtures, and diagnostic processes.\nComplete work accurately and in a timely manner while demonstrating attention to detail, promoting quality, and monitoring work to ensure compliance with established standards.\nOther duties as required and/or assigned.\nQualifications, Skills and Attributes:\nCore Requirements\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex electrical schematics, circuit designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.\nStrong understanding of analog, digital, RF, and power electronic circuits, including component-level troubleshooting and fault isolation.\nProficiency with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital and analog multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other laboratory instrumentation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform systematic root cause analysis of complex electronic failures.\nAbility to develop and maintain technical documentation including troubleshooting guides, fault trees, repair procedures, engineering reports, and work instructions.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to repair technicians and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.\nCommitment to continuous improvement through identifying and implementing enhancements to repair processes, technical documentation, and diagnostic methods.\nDesireable Skills and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required..\n5+ years of experience troubleshooting, testing, repairing, or supporting complex electronic assemblies in a manufacturing, depot repair, test engineering, or sustaining engineering environment preferred.\nExperience troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies to the component level in a production, depot, or laboratory environment.\nExperience supporting depot repair, warranty repair, product upgrades, or sustaining engineering activities preferred.\nExperience developing or improving diagnostic processes, repair methods, or engineering documentation is preferred.\nExperience supporting aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability electronic products is a plus.\nThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
