Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management and cost control. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for construction projects, working closely with our construction team to ensure compliance with contract requirements and negotiate with clients to secure the best possible price. Duties: - Review project specifications and plans to estimate the cost of construction projects. - Conduct site visits to assess the condition of the construction site and gather information necessary for estimating purposes. - Use software such as Bluebeam to create detailed and accurate estimates. - Collaborate with construction managers to ensure that estimates align with the project's scope, budget, and timeline. - Negotiate with clients to secure the best possible price for the project, while ensuring that the construction team can deliver high-quality work within the agreed-upon budget. - Utilize industry-standard estimating tools, such as HeavyBid, to prepare comprehensive and accurate bids. - Continuously update and refine the estimating process to ensure that it remains efficient and effective. - Participate in meetings with clients and construction teams to discuss project requirements and ensure that all parties are on the same page. Requirements: - Proven experience in construction estimating and cost control. - Strong understanding of construction management and contract requirements. - Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam. - Ability to negotiate and secure the best possible price for construction projects. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and construction teams. - Physical ability to conduct site visits and perform tasks on the construction site. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
