OAG employees enjoy excellent benefits along with tremendous opportunities to do important work at a large, dynamic state agency making a positive difference in the lives of Texans.\nEssential Position Functions:\nPrepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports and maintains all digital files.\nScanning documents, organizing case files, preparing data reports, and supporting the unit.\nStrong organization skills, interpersonal communication skills, and experience using Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook, and graphic/digital layout and design skills are highly recommended for this position.\nPrepares purchases requisitions for division.\nPerforms general office duties, Case Management for the unit including opening/closing, tracking activity in pending cases, maintaining stats, assigning CFS numbers when required, updating and maintaining spreadsheets.\nProvide training to new employees for travel, timekeeping and OAG policy.\nCorresponding with the public and other agencies with general information requests and inquiries and maintaining logs of said communication.\nCompiles data for databases and prepares statistical summaries or reports.\nManages and maintains schedules and travel arrangements for staff to include travel reimbursement.\nManaging IT on-boarding for volunteers and new personnel; Preparing and submitting separation paperwork when volunteers and/or personnel depart the unit.\nManaging interns and assisting with intern applications, background paperwork, orientation, and administration of the internship program.\nAssisting unit personnel with grant reporting, data compilation, and application requirements.\nAssisting unit personnel with training and conference organization tasks (prior to, during, and after training events).\nPrepares Public information Act (PIA) responses for the division.\nAssist division management as needed with special projects.\nPerforms related work as assigned.\nMaintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions.\nAttends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule.\nEnsures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information.\nComplies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nEducation: Graduation from high school or equivalent.\nExperience: Six years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: administrative support, clerical work, customer service, general office, secretarial work, or legal support.\nKnowledge of office practices and administrative procedures and criminal justice system.\nSkill in using Microsoft Office to include excel.\nSkill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.\nSkill in effective oral and written communication.\nAbility to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback.\nAbility to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment.\nAbility to provide excellent customer service.\nAbility to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave).\nAbility to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel.\nAbility to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA.\nAbility to lift and relocate 30 lbs.\nAbility to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.\nExperience: Communicating with investigators and personnel from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.\nKnowledge: salesforce timekeeping & travel, Case Management, LCMS, Crimestar systems, OAG policies and procedures.\nAbilities: To work with multiple Criminal Justice Organizations.\nCertifications: Notary Public and CJIS certification.\nOther Language: Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish.\nTo Apply:\nTo apply for a job with the OAG, electronic applications can be submitted through CAPPS Recruit.
