GMBC is seeking skilled, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to be a part of a collaborative team that will assist children and youth to increase their communication, motor, academic, social, self-care, functional living, and play skills - while assisting to reduce challenging behaviors. The Behavior Instructor will work under the guidance of their Behavior Analyst and/or Assistant Behavior Consultant to implement behavior support plans and provide direct student support within the public school and community setting. Successful candidates will have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Positions are available in various locations. Apply now and come be a part of our amazing team!\nExpected hours 35-40 hours/week (full time)\nMonday to Friday, day shift\nPay- $21.00 to $26.00 /hour - depending on education and experience\nQualifications\nMinimum of a High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required\nExperience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities preferred\nPossession of a valid driver’s license\nExcellent driving record and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle\nAbility to lift and move 50 lbs and be trained in emergency safety techniques\nAbility to be enthusiastic, engaging and work in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to be flexible with change and accept regular feedback and support\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:\nReads, regularly reviews, and implements behavior analytic programming as directed by supervisors; plans may include behavior reduction procedures, skill acquisition procedures, and crisis or emergency response procedures\nProvides personal care needs to clients as needed\nProvides client transportation in personal vehicle-as needed (mileage reimbursement)\nMaintain physical fitness, demonstrate physical prevention techniques\nCollects accurate and timely data throughout the course of the program day\nMaintains client confidentiality to the maximum extent required by law\nCollaborates and interacts professionally with co-workers, students, families and outside service providers\nMaintains professional appearance and interactions\nRefrains from engagement in any activities or relationships that constitute a conflict of interest and/or dual relationships\nAccepts feedback from direct supervisors and adjusts performance as necessary\nProfessional Duties and Expectations\nArrives on time to all regularly scheduled work shifts and follows company procedure in the event of an unscheduled cancellation or emergency\nObtains and maintains all company-requested trainings\nAdheres to all current company policies and procedures including, but not limited to: appropriate dress, requests for time off, call-out procedures, alcohol/drug use or possession, etc.\nDemonstrates the highest standards of respect for client welfare, dignity, and safety.\nAlways demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving-abilities, and sound judgment\nRefrains from the use of personal devices (e.g. cell phones, laptops, iPads, etc.) during working hours unless permitted by the direct supervisor or in cases of emergency\nAdheres to all current company policies and procedures including, but not limited to: appropriate dress, request for time off, call-out procedures, etc.\nDemonstrates the highest standards of respect for client welfare, dignity and safety\nBenefits\n● 401(k) with employer match\n● Paid sick and vacation time\n● Employee assistance program\n● Health insurance\n● Dental insurance\n● Vision insurance\n● Life insurance option\n● Short/long term disability insurance option\n● Employee referral incentive program\n● Tuition reimbursement for graduate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis\n● Supportive work environment\n● On the job training\nGreen Mountain Behavior Consulting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
