Franchise Business Consultant / Operations Manager

Overview:The Franchise Operations Manager is a corporate position that is responsible for working directly with the Franchise Owners and overseeing the performance and operational excellence of SWEAT440 studios. This role provides guidance and support for existing open studios in the Franchisee’s portfolio as well as support during the opening process for studios in development.Success in this role is demonstrated with the ability to influence without authority, turn problems into opportunities, and provide guidance towards extraordinary results.This is a hybrid role, combining in-studio visits, and office time; which may include remote office work as well as select days in our corporate office in Miami Beach, Florida on an as-needed basis.Reports to: VP of OperationsLocation: Northeast; hybrid role at-home and travelEmployment Type: Full-time, salaried positionTravel: 40% travel within your territory of responsibility, plus visits to HQ in FloridaKey responsibilities include:Studio Performance: Monitor and track key metrics, identify opportunities, celebrate achievements and create actions for improvement.In collaboration with the Franchise Owner, develop goals aligned with KPIs that will drive revenue growth.Host regular calls with Ownership to review and discuss performance and future strategy - this includes, monthly, quarterly, and annual business review meetings, and in some cases, may require weekly touch points for underperforming studios.Leverage performance data and dashboards to develop collaborative action plans and track progress over time.Brand Consistency: Ensure franchisees adhere to brand standards and guidelines (physical environment, digital presence, member experience, operational procedures, systems & applications).Conduct studio visits to evaluate adherence to brand guidelinesServe as a brand ambassador and culture carrier, modeling and reinforcing SWEAT440 values with every interaction. ‘Operational Compliance: Verify operational tasks are completed on the expected cadence and according to brand standards.Manage compliance through performance scorecards, studio visits, member feedback, and Google Reviews.Identify compliance gaps and develop actionable improvement plans in collaboration with franchise owners.Cross-Functional Communication: Be the point of contact for Franchise Owners to contactwhen they have questions or support needs specific to their studios.Act as a liaison between franchisees and corporate departments, ensuring effective communication flow in both directions. Connect franchise owners to existing resources, learning paths, and subject matter experts for efficient issue resolution.Communicate franchisee needs and perspectives in internal corporate meetings.New Studio Opening Support: Guide franchise owners through the new studio opening process and strategize on hitting key milestones in advance of grand opening.Conduct on-site and virtual training sessions specific to in-studio roles, in support of membership sales conversion, client experience, and lead generation.Training: Provide ongoing training reinforcement for Franchise Owners and their teams, including job taskexecution, system access, sales conversion and lead generation strategies.Identify performance gaps and collaborate with the Training & Onboarding team to create target education material.Document Control: Monitor and maintain all required documents pertaining to Franchise Owners that must be retained corporately.Franchisee Portfolio:This role will include a territory of approximately 20-30 units, across multiple franchiseownership groups. The geographical territory itself may expand and contract overtime, as thebrand opens more locations in different regions. The initial primary territory will cover thenortheast region including, but not limited to New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, andWashington D.C.Qualifications & Core Competencies:5+ years of experience in franchise operations, fitness, or multi-unit managementComfortable with data tools, reporting analytics, and studio management platformsFitness industry experience preferred, but not requiredSkilled in coaching, active listening, adaptability, and strategic thinking – helping franchisees align their local operations with the broader goals of the brand.Ability to hold franchisees accountable to brand standards while building a relationship on trust.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate them into actionable strategies.Approaches this role with curiosity and a growth mindset; actively seeks new ideas and looks for smarter way to drive efficiency and results across the network.
