The role focuses on developing PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions, creating control panels and I/O wiring designs, integrating VFDs and field devices, and supporting commissioning and startup activities. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Schneider, FactoryTalk, Ignition or Wonderware, AutoCAD electrical drawings, and working knowledge of P&ID and municipal project requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop PLC, HMI and SCADA control strategies for water, wastewater, municipal and industrial facilities.\nProgram, configure and debug PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Schneider and others) and associated HMIs/SCADA (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware).\nCreate and review control panel layouts, I/O lists, wiring diagrams and AutoCAD electrical drawings to support fabrication and field installation.\nDevelop, execute and document factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT) and commissioning procedures; support startup and troubleshooting on site.\nIntegrate VFDs, field devices and instrumentation; ensure proper communication over Ethernet and industrial networks.\nTranslate process and P&ID information into control logic, interlocks, alarms and operator interfaces; collaborate with process and electrical teams to optimize system performance.\nProvide technical support to project managers, field technicians and clients during installation, testing and handover; respond to commissioning and warranty issues.\nPrepare technical specifications, instrumentation and control documentation, I/O lists and vendor coordination packages.\nMaintain project schedules and documentation, follow quality and safety procedures, and ensure compliance with municipal and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to standardize control systems, templates, and testing procedures.\nQualifications\nBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).\n2+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, electrical design, or process controls.\nProficient programming and troubleshooting experience with PLC platforms (Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix preferred, Schneider experience a plus).\nExperience with HMI/SCADA platforms such as FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware or equivalent.\nStrong knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, control panel design, I/O configuration, and interpreting P&ID and process diagrams.\nExperience commissioning and testing control systems (FAT/SAT) and providing onsite startup support.\nFamiliarity with VFD integration, industrial Ethernet networks, fieldbus protocols and instrumentation used in water/wastewater systems.\nSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams; comfortable with occasional travel to project sites and client locations.\nBenefits\nBonus opportunities\n100% company paid employee medical and dental\nPTO and Company Holidays\nProfessional Development\nCollaborative team enviroment\nAmazing company culture\nand much more!\n\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
