Mechanic

Our client in King of Prussia is seeking a Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery used in the production of rebar steel. This role is critical to ensuring equipment uptime, safety, and production efficiency.Job Responsibilities:Conduct regular inspection of equipment to identify repairs needed, and safety issuesContinuously improve on the process/equipment focusing on quality and efficiencyAssist in training Line Operators on lock-out/tag-out and other safety programsPerform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipmentMaintain accurate and thorough maintenance/repair recordsMaintain adequate supply of spare partsRecommends, evaluates, and installs new equipment and/or line improvementsReviews and works towards reducing production downtime caused by equipment issuesAssist with other facilities and mechanical repairs as neededCoordinate and oversee maintenance and repairs using outside vendors to ensure timely completion within approved budgetLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instrumentsEnsure equipment is designed for timely and efficient changeoversRespond to calls for building and equipment issues as neededMaintain good housekeeping practicesObserve and follow company safety rules and regulationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must have excellent attendance and work recordExperience working in manufacturing environmentAbility to troubleshoot and follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specificationsAbility to work independently and also as a cross functional team memberAttention to detailProficiency with hand tools, electric meters and material handling equipmentWilling to perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsAbility to work 10 hour shiftsAbility to work in a cold/hot environmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs or morePossess problem solving skills to resolve and mitigate issuesAbility to communicate efficiently and effectively with multiple management levelsAbility to follow detailed instructions
