Flex Shopper - Part Time

In-Store ShopperSupport exceptional customer experiences by preparing customer orders for delivery and pickup. Shoppers prepare orders for everyday goods including produce, meat, dairy, household items, prepared foods, specialty cheeses, wine, and beer. This role requires schedule flexibility to work peak hours including weekends, early mornings, midday, and evenings, holidays and peak holiday seasons (November through January). Schedules are issued 14 days in advance, and the average shift length is 4-8 hours.As an In-Store Shopper, you'll work on the Customer Service & E-Commerce teams supporting and preparing customer orders for delivery and/or pickup. While our offerings will continue to evolve, you'll shop throughout our store for everyday goods including produce, meat, dairy, household items, prepared foods, specialty cheeses, wine, beer and more. Having a flexible schedule is key to meeting our customers' needs. We especially need Team Members who can work on Saturday and Sunday – our busiest times of the week! Shoppers with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays are preferred.Job ResponsibilitiesFulfills online orders efficiently, accurately and with a sense of urgency using handheld technology and/or fixed devicesEnsure product and order accuracy through meticulous verification and quality control processesLearn and apply product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to deliver exceptional customer experiencesKeep staging area organized and free of clutterHandle in-store and online order returns and pickupsComply with government regulations such as age verification requirements for restricted itemsAssist with customer inquiries and provide store informationMaintain knowledge of product and promotional eventsMaintain a positive work environmentCommunicate clearly, collaboratively and courteouslyAttend all meetings assigned by Leadership, including daily huddlesSupport company program and initiatives, inclusive of varied checkout options, store formats and all product assortment, tools, and technologyMaintains operational standards including but not limited to safety and store security protocolsEnsure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsPerforms other duties as assigned by store or company leadershipJob Skills & RequirementsStrong customer service, hospitality and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with multi-tasking capabilitiesFlexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidaysAdaptability to work in high demand / peak hoursWillingness and ability to cross-train to support other teams and tasksAdaptability to learn new technology-driven solutionsThrive in a fast-paced retail environmentClear communication and team collaboration skillsQualificationsNo prior retail experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredSufficient English language proficiency to prepare and shop customer ordersMust be 18+ years oldPhysical Requirements / Working ConditionsStand/walk for 4-8 hours per shiftLift up to 50 poundsWork in various temperature environments (freezer to 90°F)Perform tasks in outdoor and indoor environmentsPerform repeated motions: bending, reaching, grasping, twisting, squattingOperate standard retail equipment safelyExposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicalsMay require use of ladders and other E-Commerce equipmentThe wage range for this position is $16.00-$25.40 Hourly, commensurate with experience.
